00:00:00:03 – 00:00:05:14
Speaker 1
Hi everyone, this is Christina Williams from Just Criminal Law. That’s all we do.
00:00:05:29 – 00:00:40:20
Speaker 2
And hello, I’m David. Man, I worked with criminal law for about a year, helping them tell the best, most compelling case stories. So working with Just Criminal Law I’ve met the team that’s behind Christi, working with clients and where we want to talk about not just the team members that are sort of front and center , but we really want to talk about the incredibly important staff performing behind the scenes that clients don’t necessarily see in court.
00:00:40:20 – 00:00:44:09
Speaker 2
And the one we want to talk about today is you, Christina.
00:00:44:21 – 00:00:59:20
Speaker 1
Sure. It’s Lisa Reed and she’s my paralegal. And David, I have to tell you, behind every great lawyer, there’s an even better paralegal. And that is what we are fortunate to have here at Just Criminal Law.
00:01:00:10 – 00:01:03:00
Speaker 2
What is a paralegal? A lot of people don’t know.
00:01:03:23 – 00:01:28:21
Speaker 1
She is trained in law. She understands how to spot legal issues. She understands how to do legal research and legal writing. And beyond that, she just has first-hand knowledge of how the system works. And she is able to help customers in the range of things they need.
00:01:29:02 – 00:01:44:13
Speaker 2
Yeah. So. So a paralegal in general is someone who knows who has a legal background and who is able to do a lot more than perhaps an administrative assistant could. Is it correct?
00:01:44:22 – 00:02:19:24
Speaker 1
Yes absolutely. She is trained in legal procedure. She understands criminal procedure. She understands how the state of how the case begins and ends. And she has been absolutely wonderful in walking clients through what happens when they lose their driver’s license. Say related to a DUI. She works closely with Wyoming Chauffeur Services and the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
00:02:20:13 – 00:02:22:22
Speaker 1
So that is what is unique to him.
00:02:23:05 – 00:02:29:00
Speaker 2
And so it seems to be something that Lisa is very personally motivated to do. Is it correct?
00:02:30:02 – 00:03:02:10
Speaker 1
Yes. She is passionate about making sure our clients receive fair treatment. And her clients constantly tell me that she’s knowledgeable, that she’s compassionate. She makes them feel like, you know, they understand they were wrong. But they still say she treats them with such respect. And even if they are in this situation, it is probably the worst thing that has happened to them.
00:03:03:08 – 00:03:14:24
Speaker 1
They have hope and they really feel like they hired the right team. And, you know, she talks more to clients than to my legal team.
00:03:15:11 – 00:03:27:10
Speaker 2
Wow. It’s awesome. Seems like she’s very passionate about getting justice. If anyone watching this needs justice, how can they reach you?
00:03:27:23 – 00:03:44:25
Speaker 1
Well, they can click on the link in the description and then call us. They’ll probably be able to talk to Lisa, but they can also text or chat with a member of my team anytime, day or night. And we know you only get one shot at justice, so give us a call. Make yours count.
